Harbour Lights Bike Hire
Equipment Hire :- Terms and Conditions
Proof of identification must be provided, (the details will be held) upon
collection of your bicycles.
(e.g. driving licence, passport, photo ID)
A damage deposit is required when hiring equipment and will take the form of
credit card details or £50.00 cash, which will be destroyed and returned
upon return of the equipment in good condition. We reserve the right to
deduct monies from hirers for repairs to damaged cycles returned from hire
caused as a consequence of the hirers dangerous cycling, loss of control or
negligence. This will be accompanied by a traders repair receipt. Bicycles
and equipment hired on a rental agreement remains the property of Harbour
Lights Bike Hire and if the equipment is not returned or damaged beyond
repair we reserve the right to charge the hirers for the full cost of the
equipment and any loss occurred within a 1 week period.
Hirers assume liability for all articles hired on completion of the hire
agreement form. Hirers assume liability for any prosecution or insurance
claim arising from their actions whilst in a period of hire. Harbour Lights
reserve the right to refuse hire cycles to individuals and groups at their
own discretion. Deposits taken on advance hire bookings will not be retuned
in the event of the customer not arriving or if they cancel within 7 days of
a proposed hire period. We will not undertake any manoeuvre which is beyond
our level of skill or out with the bikes capability. I fully indemnify
Harbour Lights Bike Hire against injury to myself or any third party unless
it can be proven that Harbour Lights Bike Hire did not fulfil reasonable
maintenance procedures for the equipment being used. I declare that we are
in good health and our eyesight is up to the standard required for a road
driving test. We are not suffering from any medical conditions or disability
which is likely to adversely affect our normal control of the bicycle. Cycle
helmets are provided at a small charge and all cyclists are strongly advised
to use them, those who refuse do so at their own risk. I recognise that
cycling can be dangerous and acknowledge the risks involved. I understand
that in event of a mechanical failure other than punctures, Harbour Lights
Bike Hire will offer a breakdown service for the cycle but not for
